Advent Information from Father Terry
As with everything else, this Advent will be quite different.
- We will send out some Family website suggestions for Advent activities
- We have our ordinary 4 confession times during the week. But in addition to that there will be our parish penance service on Tuesday, December 22nd at 7:00 PM. Additional times will be: Thursday, December 17th at 7:00 PM; Friday, December 18th at 7:00 PM and Wednesday, December 23rd at 7:00 PM (last opportunity)
- Just a reminder for our religious education students, this Advent we will not be having confessions during class times. Hopefully back to it in Lent. Please make an effort to go together as a family during one of those extra confession times.
- Advent Season begins on November 29th to December 23rd. Christmas Season begins with Christmas and ends January 10th.
- December 8th is a Holy Day of Obligation – Immaculate Conception. There will be 4 opportunities to attend Mass: Monday, December 7th at 5:30 PM; Tuesday, December 8th at 8:15 AM, 12;15 (noon hour) and 7:00 PM
- Christmas Eve Masses will be Thursday, December 24th at 4:00 PM; an overflow mass at 4:15 PM in the Gym; 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Christmas Day Masses will be on Friday, December 25th at 8:00 and 9:30 AM.
- Another Holy Day of Obligation is Jan 1st: Mary the Mother of God. Masses will be Thursday, December 31st at 5:30 PM Mases. Friday, January 1st the masses will be 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM
Being as we are more limited in holding events in the church, we encourage you to develop some Advent activities to meaningfully celebrate the Advent and Christmas Seasons. Let us pray for one another.
